About me
As a grandmother, I enjoy talking about grandchildren. I forewarn you, I could talk about "my" grandchildren all day. Also enjoy gardening. For work, I'm employed with the Town of Lake Placid, my main roles are the Director of Finance and HR Generalist. I oversee all financial matters with transparency, accountability and in close collaboration with the Town Administrator and Departments Directors. My position plays a critical role in the town's financial resources by putting in place robust policies, procedures, and control measures. I am also responsible for budgets, worker’s compensation, unemployment, EEOC matters and retirement. My combined work experience includes 28 years in accounting, 12 years of experience in federal income tax and 8 years work experience with non-profit organizations. My educational accomplishments include an Associate of Science, Bachelor of Science and MBA (all in accounting and Finance).
